Facilities Engineering Manager (Req.#50910)
The Facilities Engineering Manager performs technical and operational supervision of the operations and maintenance of the organizations physical plant. The person in this role will oversee, and train the technical maintenance workforce, and provide direction and quality assurance to activities performed by contractors. He or She will also direct the facilities preventive maintenance program to ensure systems are operating at optimum efficiency & reliability. Other aspects of this role will include assessing facility conditions and developing plans for improvement where required.
This position requires technical skills in the operation and maintenance of building systems to ensure their effective and efficient performance. Included in this is the ability to train and develop the skills of the maintenance workforce, and the ability to manage contracted specialists required by the organization. The individual must have effective management techniques, a safety and environmental background for healthcare and research laboratory settings, strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects.
Minimum Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field. Prior military experience preferred. Minimum experience: 3-5 years experience. Experience in healthcare environment preferred; Professional Engineer designation desired.
