On a calm and pleasant Thursday September 22nd evening, a distinguished group of Los Angeles Chapter past presidents gathered at El Cholo Restaurant in Los Angeles. The purpose of this meeting, in addition to re-connecting with current and former chapter presidents, was to form an informal task force to determine how to capture and share the collective skills and experiences of this group of former volunteer chapter leaders with the current leaders and to find new and unique ways to support the chapter and its members.

These pioneer leaders have led the Chapter through thick and thin, good times and bad, and have helped us position ourselves as one of the most vibrant chapters in any industry, much less IFMA. One of the past presidents not listed above is the beloved Arthur Hahn, CFM, IFMA Fellow (1994-1985) who passed away many years ago. The legacy that all of these individuals, along with the contributions of numerous unsung chapter members who have given so much of their time, energy, labor, and good will, is unrivaled by any other chapter.
The Los Angeles Chapter has a distinguished history and leadership within the Association. Its mission was and remains to be the premier facilities management organization in Los Angeles, fostering excellence in both the built environment and in its member’s careers. The Chapter was founded in 1982 and will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2012. WE look forward to seeing you at upcoming Chapter events and at World Workplace, this year being held in Phoenix, Arizona from October 24 through October 28, 2011.
