The 3rd Annual Wilshire Center Earth Day/Car Free Day event will take place on the lawn of the Wilshire Park Plaza building at 3700 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90010 (between Oxford and Serrano) on Thursday, April 22nd from 11 AM - 3 PM. This year’s event will feature e-waste recycling, so please bring your old TV, computers, monitors and other electronics to be recycled. The event will also include a tree adoption, seed packet giveaways, sustainability awareness information, and a bike valet.
The main stage will feature musical performances by Naked Rhythm, the Quetzal Guerrero Band, VoKab Kompany, as well as other artists, including a Korean Fan Dance performance, an El Salvadorian dance troupe and Bangladeshi Dancers. In addition to the environmentally friendly aspects and the stage entertainment the event will host a farmer’s market with organic and locally grown produce, gardening training, face painting, drumming for kids, a photo-booth and much more. On April 22nd the WCBID would like to encourage everyone in the City of Los Angeles not to use their cars, but instead use public transportation, carpool, hybrid cars, bike or walk.
