Juan is the Senior Facilities Manager of Manhattan Village with JLL with over 20 years of industry experience on various project types including, industrial, office & mixed use.  Skilled in expense management, budgeting, tenant leasing and capital improvements, Juan has just completed a full renovation of his facility.


Javier Hernandez, MTA


With over 15 years of experience and a robust educational background in the information technology sector, Javier Hernandez stands as a seasoned expert revered for his mastery in telecommunications and data governance. Armed with a degree and multiple certifications in these domains, Javier exemplifies unwavering dedication to pushing the boundaries of technological innovation. 


Currently serving as the Director for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Authority (Metro), Javier orchestrates the strategic deployment of technology, providing invaluable insights and support to diverse business units within the organization. Beyond his professional pursuits, Javier finds joy in spending time with his wife and three boys, engaging in shared passions such as baseball, basketball, golf, and various outdoor adventures.

Merrilu Alfaro, MTA - moderator

Merrilu Alfaro, FMP, CFM, ENV SP is the Director of General Services for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority. She has been a facility professional for 20 years and has a degree in Business Marketing & Communications from Cal State University Fullerton.
